HISTORY
The Corallo was risen on the remains of a Romano Ninfeo, near the historical residence of the Cloister of the Old Cappuccini Monks.A former elegant residential House, at the end of 1920s, was transformed into Hotel named " Cappuccini" leaving inalterated the late-liberty style with the plasters and railings of that period.

 


Soon, it became one of the most ideal meeting points for intellectuals and artists, as the famous writer Luigi Pirandello, who lived there in the 1930s. During the following decade, the name was changed into "Hotel Rex" until 1960s, when was called "Corallo" because of the corallo growing under the below waters.
